Kerala Lottery Agent Commission: Kerala Lottery Agent Commission: One can easily start their agency or become an agent by following very simple guidelines laid by the government of Kerala. The Department of Lotteries' wide distribution network consists of more than 18000 agents and above 1,50,000 retailers. The guidelines for starting an agency or becoming an agent are very simple and that too without any substantial investment. Any Indian who is above the age of 18 can become a Kerala State Lotteries Agent. The first prize winner can take home 63 percent of the prize money, according to the data provided by the Directorate of Kerala State Lotteries via the Right To Information Act. While the agency commission is 10 percent of the prize money, the income tax would come up to 30 percent of the money after the agency commission is deducted.  The Department of Lotteries has a wide distribution network consisting of more than 55,414 agents and above 1.5 lakhs retailers. Any Keralaite above the age of 18 can become an agent of Kerala State Lotteries. This initial registration is valid for a calendar year. Afterward, the agent can renew his/her agency, just for a fee of Rs. 85/-(Eighty-Five only) per year. A causal agency is issued from District Lottery Offices on remitting a fee of Rs.50/-for a particular lottery. At present, agencies are issued only from District Lottery Offices.

Prizes up to Rs. 1 Lakh can  claime from the District Lottery Offices . Prize winning tickets above Rs.1 Lakh shall be surrendered before the Director of State Lotteries after affixing the signature, name and address of the prize winner on the back side of the tickets with the following documents 1 A claim application along with a Photostat copy of both sides of the ticket, self attested. 2 Two Passport size photographs of the prize-winner duly attested by a Gazetted Officer/Notary. 3 A receipt for the prize money in the prescribed form affixing a revenue stamp worth Rs.1/- with full address of the prize-winner(download). 4 If the prize winner is a minor, Guardianship certificate from a competent authority. 5 In case of joint claims, one of the prize-winners should be authorized to receive the prize money and a ‘Joint Declaration’ in stamp paper worth Rs. 50/- should be executed. 6 Self attested copy of the PAN Card. 7 Attested document to prove identity ( Attested copy of Ration Card, Driving License, Passport, Election ID Card etc)
